The Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI) was established under Ordinance, Cap 321 of the laws of Hong Kong, in 1960. The objectives of the FHKI are:

  • to promote and foster the interests of Hong Kong's industrial and business communities;
  • to promote trade, investment, technological advancement, manpower development, and business opportunities in Hong Kong;
  • to represent business's views and advise the government on policies and legislation which affect business.

Under the auspices of FHKI, the Hong Kong Electronics Industry Council (HKEIC) established in 1988. HKEIC aims at promoting and fostering the interests of Hong Kong electronic industry. HKEIC endeavors to reflect members’ voice to the government on policies which relate to their business. There are over 130 company members in the council. To explore opportunities for Hong Kong electronic companies, HKEIC organises a wide variety of activities including seminars, missions and exhibitions to meet the needs of the industry.
